THE CARETEL “INN” CONCEPT
The Caretel “Inn” concept is easy to see when visiting, but not as easy to explain.
Perhaps the best way to explain the Caretel Inn concept is to compare it to most elder care facilities or nursing homes. Most facilities are large because size makes for greater efficiency. The problem is that 80, 100 or even 120 or more people living together and eating together is anything but home-like. Size does makes a difference.
Caretel has created a home-like atmosphere by building separate Inns. Each Inn is small, has its own cozy dining room, a quiet enclosed courtyard, a gazebo, separate entrance and staff. This is a lot like condominiums, in which the living spaces are separate and private, but connected to allow for the benefit of some common services.
Caretel Inns of Lakeland has three separate Inns. Arlington and Eaton House Inn is for guests desiring Assisted Living. Coventry House Inn is for Medicare Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care, and Dover House Inn is for those with memory loss.
